A plan never survives first contact

Two other things that are also on my radar with this project are the rules and the scenery.

Previsouly we used the now extinct Prodos AVP Unleashed rules for the previous ALIENS game, this rule set was soon adapted and streamlined to suit our on needs. The game rules we will be using for this project will be my own system which has been an ongoing little side project currently in development with some help from other close wargaming buddies.

The scenery is the big juicy bit! The table has to capture that iconic Whiskey Outpost look from the film. For a few years i’ve always had in the back of my mind a particular laser cut fortification which is now produced by TT Combat.

Those beautiful dropships are from another 3D printer found on Ebay. I’ll post up some details of them later once they have received a little paint.
